Adriane Lenox is a veteran Broadway performer whose credits include: Ain't Misbehavin'; Dreamgirls; The Buddy Holly Story; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; Kiss Me Kate among others. NY audiences remember her particularly for her multiple character performance in Dinah Was (Obie and Audelco Awards). She has received beautiful reviews for her work in Off- Broadway's Cavedweller; Miss Evers Boys; Beehive; Caroline or Change. Other Off-Broadway appearances include: Spunk; The America Play; The Venus. Regional recognitions boast The Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical for the role of Hildy in the Arena Stage production of On the Town and the Bay Area Theatre Critics nomination for her roles in Spunk at Berkeley Rep. Yale Rep.; The Long Wharf Theatre; The Bay St. Theatre; Williamstown Theatre Festival; the Coconut Grove Playhouse are among the other regional theatres where she has received consistent favorable notices for her work. Law and Order fans have seen her appearances on the original and SVU series as well as Third Watch. She is the wife of Broadway dance music arranger Zane Mark (Tony and Grammy nominations for Noise/Funk) who is represented this season with DRS and All Shook Up). They have a daughter, Crystal Joy (recipient of 2004 $10,000 scholarship for vocal music composition from Bertelsman Music), who is a freshman at Five Towns college.
