Mimi Lien is a designer of sets/environments for theater, dance, and opera. She is an artistic associate with Pig Iron Theatre Company, and co-founder of JACK, a performance/art space in Brooklyn. Her work has been presented at Lincoln Center Theater, Signature Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, the Public Theater, Soho Rep, St. Ann’s Warehouse, and The Kitchen, among others. Recent projects include Appropriate (Mark Taper Forum), Preludes, The Oldest Boy (Lincoln Center), An Octoroon (Soho Rep/TFANA), Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812. In 2012, she received an OBIE Award for Sustained Excellence, and she is a 2015 recipient of a MacArthur fellowship.
