Biography    
Ms. Vogel wrote How I Learned to Drive (1998 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, 1997 Lortel, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards and OBIE for Best Play, produced by The Vineyard Theatre in 1997). Along with The Mineola Twins (Roundabout 1999, Perseverance Theatre 1996, Trinity Repertory Company 1997), How I Learned to Drive was published by TCG as the anthology The Mammary Plays. Her plays have been performed at theatres such as the Lortel Theatre and Circle Repertory in New York, the American Repertory Theatre, the Goodman, the Magic Theatre, Center Stage and Alley Theatre as well as throughout Canada, England, Brazil and Spain. Other plays include The Baltimore Waltz (1992 OBIE for Best Play), Hot and Throbbing, Desdemona, And Baby Makes Seven and The Oldest Profession (all published by TCG in 1996 as the anthology The Baltimore Waltz and Other Plays. The Long Christmas Ride Home is being published by TCG. Ms. Vogel is the resident Playwright during the Signature Theatre's 2004-2005 season. She has taught at Brown University in the MFA Playwriting program since 1985.
